VibeMemory ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our application.

Data Collection

VibeMemory is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with third parties.

Data Stored on Your Device

All data you create in VibeMemory is stored locally on your device only. This includes:

• Memories: Titles, dates, notes, ratings, companions, and category details you enter.
• Photos: Images you select from your photo library or capture with your camera are stored within the app's local database.
• Location data: The coordinates and address of memories you create, based on your current location or locations you manually select on the map.
• Preferences: Your chosen theme, language settings, and notification preferences (enabled/disabled status, reminder time).

Permissions

VibeMemory requests the following permissions:

• Location (When In Use): Used to show your current position on the map, to associate a location with your memories, and to allow you to manually search and select locations. Your location is never sent to any server.
• Photo Library: Used to let you select photos to attach to your memories. The app uses Apple's PHPickerViewController, which provides limited access only to the photos you explicitly select. Photos are stored locally and never uploaded anywhere.
• Camera: Used to let you take photos directly for your memories. Photos are stored locally and never uploaded anywhere.
• Notifications: Used to send local reminders about past memories ("On This Day"), weekly recaps, and optional daily reminders. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device and no data is sent to any server.

Data Export

VibeMemory allows you to export your memories as CSV or PDF files. These files are generated locally on your device and shared only through the method you choose (e.g., AirDrop, email, Files app). The app does not upload or transmit exported data to any server.

Navigation

VibeMemory can open third-party map applications (Apple Maps, Google Maps) to provide navigation to your saved memory locations. This is done through standard URL schemes and no personal data is shared beyond the destination coordinates.

Third-Party Services

VibeMemory does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not integrate any SDKs that collect user data.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third party. Your memories stay on your device.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device for as long as you use the app. If you delete the app, all locally stored data will be permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

VibeMemory does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require any account creation or personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
